Course Description:
This course is designed to prepare the individual for work in the field of sales and marketing in health care or senior care or services. This course begins with the foundational principles of marketing and how to ensure ethics in all aspects of sales and marketing. Students will learn how to create a marketing mission statement, marketing plans and how to generate traffic and leads. Sales skills such as active listening and closing skills will also be taught. Students will learn the psychology of selling and how to use these principles in a senior or health care setting.

Schedule / Calendar:
Students direct their own progress through the course but must complete the entire course within 90 days from the date of enrollment. Students must progress through the course one lesson at a time, completing assignments as indicated before progressing to the next lesson. Instructors will typically grade assignments and respond to student requires for assistance within 72 hours of submission.
Students must complete a test at the end of each module with a score of at least 80% (retakes are allowed). At the end of the course students must pass a final test over all course content by a minimum score of 80%. Students are allowed 2 retakes on the final test. Students should anticipate spending at least 1 to 2 hours on each lesson, and additional time as required on assignments.
